Vajrakilaya Retreat, with Lama Öser
5th – 8th February 2024

Lama Oser resident monk and teacher at centre for Buddhism - Dharma UK

About Vajrakilaya Retreat

Vajrakilaya, the wrathful form of Vajrasattva, is the yidam deity who embodies the awakened activity of all buddhas and whose practice is famous for being the most powerful for removing obstacles, destroying forces hostile to compassion, and purifying the spiritual pollution so prevalent in this age.

The Sangtik Phurba practice belongs to the treasure teachings hidden by Guru Padmasambhava and revealed by Chokyur Lingpa for future disciples.

The Vajrkilaya practice is performed at Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery in Nepal prior to Losar to avert the negativities of the old year.

About Vajrakilaya Sadhana Practice

The practice of Vajrakilaya is at the heart of the ancient Vajrayana traditions of Tibet. The wrathful heruka Vajrakilaya is the yidam deity who embodies the enlightened activity of all the buddhas manifesting in an intensely wrathful yet compassionate form in order to subjugate the delusion and negativity within us that can arise as obstacles to the practice of Dharma.

In fact, the practice of Vajrakilaya is famous in the Tibetan Buddhist world as the most powerful for removing obstacles.

Lama Öser will provide guidance on mudra, ritual and mantra.

Please note if you wish to attend the Vajrakilaya Retreat you must have the relevant empowerment. Rinpoche bestowed this empowerment to all attendees during the annual seminar in 2022.
