Getting Here

While offering peaceful seclusion, Lindholme Hall is remarkably accessible—just an hour from major cities like Sheffield and Leeds, and only 1 hour and 45 minutes by train from Manchester and London. Several nearby airports provide convenient access for both national and international travellers.


By Car

Directions: From the M18, exit at Junction 5 and join the M180. Take the first exit, Junction 1, onto the A614. Follow the A614 and turn onto Lindholme Bank Road to reach Gomde UK. If using navigation, set your navigation to Lindholme Hall, Doncaster, DN7 6DT, UK and ensure to select the route via {italc Hatfield Woodhouse}.

If your navigation says you’ve arrived, you might need to keep going — Gomde is located at the end of a peaceful one-mile single-track road.

Parking: Ample parking is available near the café and courtyard complex.


By Train

Train Station: The nearest train station is in Doncaster, which has excellent connections to various parts of the country.

Transport from the Station: From the Doncaster station, you can take a taxi to Gomde UK—a journey of about 20 minutes. Please check local taxi services in advance to ensure availability.


By Air

Located in the tranquil Humberhead Peatlands National Nature Reserve, Gomde UK is nestled within a serene 180-acre estate. Our centre offers a diverse range of facilities designed to support study, contemplation, and practice, as well as host community gatherings, environmental conservation activities, and group workshops.

  • Single Rooms: Comfortable rooms in the Main Hall, Coach House, and The Studio building, some with en-suites and scenic views.
  • Shared Rooms: Twin and shared rooms in the Main Hall, Coach House and The Studio building; some with en-suites.
  • Retreat Huts: Two secluded huts for individual retreats.
  • Camping Grounds: An idyllic camping area for larger retreats.

MEDITATION HALL

A beautiful shrine hall perfect for teachings, meditation and practice, featuring a golden Buddha Shakyamuni statue and collections of the Kangyur and Tengyur texts.

LIBRARY

A vast collection of over 5,000 texts with spaces for reading and study.

CAFE

An indoor/outdoor cafe and lounge area offering refreshments and a warm atmosphere.

SHOP

Offers books, authentic ritual items, and statues from Nepal.

DINING HALL

A commercial kitchen and dining area in The Studio accommodating up to 100 visitors.

WORKSHOP SPACES

Available for various activities and projects.

All our facilities are conveniently located on the ground floor and equipped with ramps, ensuring easy access for visitors with mobility needs. Additionally, we provide specially designed accommodations for disabled guests to facilitate a comfortable retreat experience.
