Programme of things to see and do
Kora Walk | 9:30am – 4:00pm
Nestled within the Humberhead Levels National Nature Reserve, Lindholme Island is an extraordinary 180-acre oasis in the heart of Hatfield Moors. Once accessible only by boat and now reached by a single-mile track road, its layered history and natural sense of seclusion continue to evoke a sense of wonder and peace from the moment you arrive. Our much-loved Kora Walk is a chance to experience the island at your own pace. In the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, kora means walking clockwise around a special place, bringing to mind a sense of peace and positive wishes of kindness towards others.
Follow the route through ancient woodland and out towards open views across Hatfield Moors, with birdsong and wildlife all around.
Distance: Routes available from 100 yards to 3 miles.
Flexibility: Suitable for all ages; arrive at any time between 9:30am and 4:00pm.

Tours of Lindholme Hall | 10:30am – 2:00pm
Join a guided tour of Lindholme Hall, the historic heart of the island. The Hall is fundamentally Georgian in character and has evolved over more than 200 years, with each generation leaving its mark. From once the site of a medieval chapel and hermitage to the centre of an agricultural community and working families, the house carries stories spanning centuries of cultural life on the island.
Alongside its architecture, more recent details tell the story of Lindholme’s farming and conservation history. You’ll see a hand-painted Second World War frieze created by a prisoner of war who worked on the estate, alongside rare insect illustrations by local hero Peter Skidmore, whose work helped inspire the protection and restoration of the moors.
You’ll also hear how the Hall is being cared for today, and the plans to preserve it for the future.
Tours are suitable for all ages and offer a rare chance to step inside the Hall and discover the people, stories, and landscape that have shaped Lindholme over time.

Kinship of Faiths Gathering | 2:00pm – 4:00pm
In the afternoon, we’d love you to join us for our annual Kinship of Faiths Gathering—an open space to meet, listen, and reflect together across different spiritual traditions. This year’s theme is “Our Future – Connecting Together.”
Friends and representatives from several faith traditions will share reflections, followed by plenty of time to ask and explore honest questions together. This gathering offers a rare window into common ground, different perspectives, and how faith and friendship can support us as we look towards the future together.
Alongside the Kora Walk, this is a chance for all ages to take part in a day of openness, friendship, and shared hope for our future.
